Travel to Tucson
Tucson is served by the Tucson International Airport (TUS) with flights to major hubs within the US. Phoenix Skyharbor (PHX) airport is a 2 hour drive. Taxi's from TUS should take about 15 minutes and cost approximately $30 to reach the University of Arizona campus - about 9 miles. There are no direct public bus or train services from the airport to the campus. Some Tucson hotels offer free shuttle service to the airport. Check with your hotel for this service. There is also a van service http://www.azstagecoach.com/airport-shuttle.html that costs approximately $18 per person, with lower rates for additional persons of two or more traveling together. From PHX there is a special shuttle service (Tucson Shuttle) that costs approximately $40. Cars can be rented at either airport.
The conference will take place in two campus buildings. The main auditorium (Crowder Hall) of the Music Building (2nd and Olive) will be used for the Plenary talks from 8:30-10:30 each morning. The remaining oral, poster and Exhibitor presentations (as well as registration and all coffee breaks) will be in the Student Union (James E Rodgers and Mountain). Parking is very tight on campus, and it is suggested that you leave cars at your hotel if possible. We are working on special arrangements, but have not yet secured reserved spaces. Please check with us Sunday, Sept. 14th at the registration desk if you will require parking during the week. On Sunday parking is free, and cars can be accommodated at the Second Street Garage just to the north of the Student Union building.

Visa Information, Visa Letters
Conference participants should familiarize themselves with Visa requirements well in advance of the conference. The IRMMW-THz 2014 organizers encourage you to apply for a Visa as early as possible, at least three months prior to the conference. Please note that some consulates may have backlogs in processing Visa applications. Contact your consulate for more information.
In general, IRMMW-THz conference organizers cannot intervene with US embassies or the US State Department on behalf of conference participants. However, if you need a personal letter of invitation to attend the conference, one can be automatically generated and downloaded by going to our Abstract Submission site.
