Determination Of The Terahertz Dielectric Function Of The Topological Insulator Bi2Se3Paper (MM17)

We investigate the THz conductivity of the topological insulator Bi2Se3, in a systematic study involving samples of different thicknesses. Our analysis yields the associated dielectric function comprising Drude and Fano-modified Lorentz terms, demonstrating contributions from topologically-protected surface and topologically-trivial bulk states to both electronic and lattice response of Bi2Se3.
