In this paper, we propose methods for the generation of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs), both carrying orbital angular momentum, and conventional ones, using vortex Bessel beams, and also investigate the propagation of SPPs along flat and cylindrical conductors. The possibility of their practical application is discussed and the first experimental results are presented.
