The ever-increasing demand for bandwidth for mobile data transmission has led to the use of higher frequency bands. In addition to increasing bandwidth requirements, regulation in the classic frequency bands is also a reason for the “escape to the top”. In the present work, the influence of beam properties, distance and reflection as well as complexity of modulation on high bit-rate data transmission is investigated using an experimental 300 GHz transmission system in conjunction with a bit error rate test system.
