Magneto-Optical Properties Of Ferrofluid In The THz Frequency RangePoster (MATL-P2)

There are few studies using the magneto-optical modulator for the varieties of terahertz (THz) application. In this work, we applied the THz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) to measure the properties of the hydrophilic and the lipophilic ferrofliud, respectively. We got the transmission coefficients, absorption coefficients, and complex refractive indices of the ferrofluids in the THz regime. Then, we can successfully modulate the phase of the ferrofluid after applying a magnetic field on it in the frequency regime of 0.2-1.0 THz.
