Terahertz radiation has great potential for security applications due to its penetrating ability combined with harmlessness. Here we report about development 100 GHz linear scanner for security screening of postal items. This system offers an efficient Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) solution that is safe, fast, highly portable and cost-effective. The system can perform real-time imaging with effective resolution approaching 5 mm at conveyor speeds of up to 15 m/s.
