Planar Slot Antennas Designed For THz Detectors Array In Flip Chip Packaging

We designed a new type of planar slot antennas for THz detectors array in 0.6-0.7 THz. Numerical simulation results indicated that the signals were effectively coupled to the antenna center place where the sensor located in. It is favorable to improve the sensitivity of THz detectors array. And the period of slot antennas array was designed within a half wavelength, achieving a high resolution. More importantly, the slot antenna consisted of two large metal sheets which could be directly used as electrodes, making detectors array convenient to be bonded with readout circuits in flip chip packaging.
