We report a method using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy to detect trace biological molecules in the solution. Adsorbed protein molecules attach on the surface of graphene will induce the change of graphene conductivity, which depends on the amounts of biological molecules in the solution. The detection platform based on the proposed method was fabricated. In the experiments, the graphene conductivity can be extracted from THz signals. The results indicate excellent linearity between BSA solution and graphene conductivity. This method has advantages in increasing the detectable sensitivity for bio-molecules in the solution.
