The 2024 IRMMW-THz Conference will be held in the grounds of The University of Western Australia (UWA), Perth, Australia. Located just minutes from the Perth Central Business District on the banks of the Swan River, or Derbal Yerrigan, on the land of the Whadjuk Nation as it is known by the land’s traditional owners.
Established as Western Australia’s first university in 1911 and founded with a mission to ‘advance the prosperity and welfare of our communities’, the University opened in 1913 to just 184 students. Today, more than 25,000 students are enrolled from 100 countries.
The gardens at UWA are registered with the Australian Heritage Commission and listed on the National Estate. They provide an inspirational learning and teaching environment, a significant tourist attraction, and a beautiful setting for business, community and cultural events.
IRMMW-THz Conference will be spread over various venues within the grounds of the University of Western Australia, with activities focused around the University Club and the Octagon Theatre. Since opening its doors in 2005, the Club’s blend of award-winning cuisine and impeccable service have earned it a reputation as Perth’s premier conference and event destination.
